Leana leads MedAccess, the medical communications agency of The Access Group.As a managing partner at MedAccess, she has served as a strategic advisor to leading specialty pharmaceutical companies for 12 years. Her oversight of clients spans a broad array of areas, including commercialization strategy, product strategy, promotional plan development, and execution.
Prior to joining MedAccess, Leana held senior leadership roles with Allergan and Johnson & Johnson. At Allergan, Leana served as US Director of Marketing for the burgeoning aesthetic portfolio. This included the launch of BOTOX® Cosmetic and BOTOX® Hyperhidrosis. Leana was responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive commercial plan for physician, patient, and consumer engagement. Prior to working on the aesthetic portfolio, Leana led the professional, consumer, and retail marketing plan development and execution for Allergan’s over-the-counter dry eye portfolio.
Leana has authored a number of articles and presented at industry conferences on key strategic issues facing the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. She has been quoted and referenced in leading publications and industry trade journals, including Newsweek, AdWeek Media, DTC Perspectives, Pharmaceutical Executive, MedAd News, and PM360. Leana was recognized as one of the top 25 Marketers by DTC Perspectives.
Leana holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Indiana University and a master of business administration degree from DePaul University, Chicago.
