Mike is a Managing Partner with The Access Group, acting as an agency lead for TAG MM to create strategic value and formulary access for the agency’s biopharmaceutical clients. Mike has demonstrated experience and wide-ranging knowledge across all facets of the pharmaceutical reimbursement arena, including health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, the federal sector, employers, contracting, and specialty pharmacy. He has strategically directed the development of client-focused solutions for new product launches, brand line extensions, and generic protection strategies in highly competitive therapeutic categories.
Prior to joining The Access Group in 2002, Mike spent 13 years at Schering-Plough, primarily in the area of managed care. During his time at Schering, Mike served as Director of Sales Training as well as Senior Manager on the Claritin® marketing team. In this role, he led the managed care marketing efforts to develop strategic value propositions and tactical initiatives supporting the launch of Claritin. In addition, he developed and managed an allergy franchise resource portfolio to protect the erosion of the company’s nasal inhaled steroid franchise. Mike holds a bachelor of science degree in biology from Montclair State University in New Jersey.
