Mike is a Managing Partner at The Access Group who specializes in achieving access and reimbursement for transformative medications in the biotechnology, rare disease, orphan, and specialty spaces. Mike brings almost 3 decades of expertise to his clients, demonstrating successful campaigns across all facets of the pharmaceutical reimbursement arena, including commercial, government, integrated systems of care, pharmacy benefit managers, employers, specialty pharmacy, and distribution. He has strategically directed the development of client-focused solutions for numerous breakthrough designation product launches, as well as brand line extensions and generic protection strategies in highly competitive therapeutic categories.
Prior to joining TAG, Mike spent 13 years at Schering-Plough, primarily in the area of managed care. During his time at Schering, Mike served as National Account Director for Health Systems and held a leadership position on the Claritin marketing team. In this role, he led the managed care marketing efforts and developed the strategic value proposition and assets to support the launch of Claritin to payers. In his role, Mike established the first in market employer outreach and reimbursement campaign for a pharmaceutical product. In addition, Mike developed and managed an allergy franchise portfolio approach to protect the generic erosion of the company’s nasal inhaled steroid franchise. Mike is a member of The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and is a corporate member of The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP). Mike holds a bachelor of science degree in biology from Montclair State University in New Jersey.
