Chris AbtahiExecutive Vice President, Practice Lead
Chris is Executive Vice President, Strategy and Client Engagement at the Access Group. He is a strategy and business development professional with more than 12 years of experience with multiple levels of the health care delivery system. As a health care consultant, Chris supported a national client base that consisted of a broad range of providers, including academic medical centers, multihospital systems, community hospitals, children’s hospitals, and faith-based health care systems. His expertise includes integrated strategic and ﬁnancial planning, growth strategy development, physician-alignment strategy development, and demand and utilization projection development.
Prior to consulting, Chris was a manager of managed markets services with Eli Lilly, where he worked with integrated health systems and managed care organizations. At Eli Lilly, he negotiated contracts and formulary status and helped clients implement value-based contracts, formulary management programs, and quality enhancement initiatives. Over the course of 9 years, Chris worked in sales, sales management, training, and leadership development across 18 states and achieved the highest level of recognition, including President’s Council.
Chris has a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Illinois. He received a bachelor of art degree in Spanish and a bachelor of science degree in international business administration, magna cum laude, from Missouri State University in Springﬁeld.
